1- सामान्य विवरण:-दोस्तों भूगोल एक समग्र विषय होने के कारण सभी भौतिक व सामाजिक विषयों से किसी न किसी रूप में सम्बन्ध रखता है। भूगोल की विषय वस्तु में भौतिक एवं मानवीय तथ्य दोनों सम्मिलित हैं,अतः भूगोल का भौतिक एवं सामाजिक दोनों ही विषयों के साथ सम्बन्ध पाया जाता है।

1- General description:- Friends, being a holistic subject, geography is related to all physical and social subjects in some way or the other. The subject matter of geography includes both physical and human facts, so the relationship of geography is found with both physical and social subjects.
2- भूगोल का पूरा नाम:-भूगोल शब्द हिंदी भाषा के दो शब्द 'भू' तथा 'गोल'के सम्मिलित शब्दों से मिलकर बना है, जिसका अर्थ क्रमशः 'पृथ्वी' तथा 'गोल' होता है।इस प्रकार भूगोल का शाब्दिक अर्थ हुआ 'गोल पृथ्वी'। इससे पृथ्वी के एक विशेष गुण अर्थात गोलाकार स्वरूप का अहसास होता है।भूगोल का अंग्रेजी शब्द 'ज्योग्राफी' (geography) है। इस शब्द की व्यूत्पत्ति यूनानी भाषा के 'जी' (ge=पृथ्वी) तथा 'ग्राफो' (grapho=वर्णन) शब्दों से मिलकर हुई है।जिसका सम्मिलित अर्थ 'पृथ्वी का वर्णन' (Description of the Earth) है।

2- Full name of geography: - The word geography is made up of two words of Hindi language 'Earth' and 'Round', which mean 'earth' and 'round' respectively. Thus the literal meaning of geography was 'Round Earth'. This gives a realization of a special quality of the earth ie 'spherical nature'. The English word of geography is 'geography'. The etymology of this word is derived from the Greek words 'ge' (ge = earth) and 'grapho' (grapho = description). The combined meaning of which is 'Description of the Earth'.
3-भूगोल के पिता का नाम:-ईसा से लगभग 500 वर्ष पूर्व यूनानवासियों ने भूमध्य सागर में समीपवर्ती अधिकांश क्षत्रों का भौगोलिक ज्ञान प्राप्त कर लिया था,परन्तु उस समय तक भूगोल ने एक स्वतंत्र विज्ञान का रूप धारण नहीं किया था। यूनानी विद्वान 'इराटस्थनीज' ने सर्वप्रथम 'ज्योग्राफी' शब्द का प्रयोग किया अतः इन्हें 'भूगोल का जनक' (पिता) कहा जाता है।"भूगोल की परिभाषा व अन्य विषयों से सम्बन्ध "

3- Name of the father of geography: - About 500 years before Christ, the Greeks had acquired geographical knowledge of most of the adjacent regions in the Mediterranean Sea, but by that time geography had not assumed the form of an independent science. The Greek scholar 'Eratasthenes' first used the word 'geography', hence he is called 'father of geography'.
4- भूगोल की प्राकृतिक का वर्णन:-भूगोल एक ऐसा विषय है जो विभिन्न स्थानों की विशेषताओं तथा प्राकृतिक विशेषताओं एवं घटनाओं के वितरण का एवं पृथ्वी की सतह में आये परिवर्तनों का वर्णन किया जाने वाला विज्ञान है। भूगोल में कहाँ है,कैसा है,कैसा दिखता है,ऐसा क्यों हुआ,मानवता प्राकृतिक वर्णन, वातावरण, पारस्परिक लाभ के लिए कैसे इसका प्रबंधन किया जा सकता है,जैसे प्रश्नों का अध्ययन करने का प्रयास किया जाता है।
भूगोल वर्तमान में विश्व द्वारा सामना की जाने बाली समस्याओं,वैश्विक तापमान,वातावरण जैसे विषयों का अध्ययन किया जाता है। इसमें मानव समाज के साथ साथ अंतर्क्रिया वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्था, खाद्य सुरक्षा सम्प्रेषण के नवीन तकनीक के प्रभाव, आपदा प्रबंधन आदि को भी अम्मिलित किया जाता है।आधुनिक काल में भूगोल एक ऐसा विषय है,जो पृथ्वी की जटिलताओं को समस्त प्राकृतिक एवं मानवीय परिवर्तनों के साथ अध्ययन किया जाता है,या उसे समझने का प्रयत्न करता है।

4- Description of the natural of geography: - Geography is a subject that is the science of describing the characteristics of different places and the distribution of natural features and phenomena and the changes in the surface of the earth. Geography attempts to study questions such as where it is, how it looks, why it happened, human nature description, environment, how it can be managed for mutual benefit.
Geography is the study of topics such as the problems faced by the world at present, global temperature, atmosphere. In this, along with human society, the interaction of the global economy, the impact of new technology of food security, communication, disaster management etc. is also included. A- भूगोल का प्राकृतिक विज्ञानों से सम्बन्ध:-भूगोल का प्राकृतिक विज्ञानों से सम्बन्ध इस प्रकार से हैं-
1- भूगोल एवं गणित:-गणित का भौगोलिक अध्ययनों में प्राचीन काल से ही गहरा प्रभाव रहा है।देशों व प्रदेशों की अक्षांशीय व देशांतरीय स्थितियों तथा उनकी आकृतियों व क्षत्रफल आदि का भूगोल के अंतर्गत अध्ययन किया जाता है।यह अध्ययन गणित के सहयोग के बिना सम्भव नहीं है।आधुनिक युग में गणित की शाखा सांख्यिकी के सहयोग से भूगोल के विभिन्न अध्ययनों में मात्राकरण इतना महत्वपूर्ण होता जा रहा है,की गणितीय भूगोल का भूगोल की एक प्रमुख शाखा के रूप में विकास हो गया।"भूगोल की परिभाषा व अन्य विषयों से सम्बन्ध "

1- Geography and Mathematics: - Mathematics has had a deep influence in geographical studies since ancient times. The latitudinal and longitudinal conditions of countries and regions and their shapes and areas etc. are studied under geography. This study is done under the cooperation of mathematics. It is not possible without it. Quantification is becoming so important in various studies of geography with the cooperation of the branch of mathematics in the modern era, that mathematical geography has developed as a major branch of geography.'Mainpuri Classes'
2- भूगोल व भूगर्भ विज्ञान में सम्बन्ध:-भूगर्भ विज्ञान पृथ्वी के आंतरिक अध्ययन से सम्बंधित है।भूगोल में पृथ्वी की आंतरिक संरचना , चट्टानों आदि का अध्ययन किया जाता है,क्योंकि इसी अध्ययन से मिट्टी, खनिज पदार्थों, भू आकृतियों के स्वरूपों और भूमिगत जल का अध्ययन किया जाता है।इस प्रकार भूगोल और भूगर्भ विज्ञान का एक दूसरे से गहरा सम्बन्ध है।

3- भूगोल एवं वनस्पति विज्ञान में सम्बन्ध:-वृक्षों का मानव जीवन में महत्त्वपूर्ण स्थान है, इनसे अनेक उधोगों के लिए कच्चे माल की प्राप्ति होती है।वन बाढ़ एवं भूक्षरण रोकने में हमारी मददत करते हैं।अतः ये एक मूल्यवान प्राकृतिक संसाधन है। भोईगोल में वनस्पतियों का अध्ययन महत्वपूर्ण स्थान रखता है।अतः भूगोल का सम्बंध वनस्पति विज्ञान से त्ती गहरा सम्बन्ध है।

(B)- भूगोल का सामाजिक विज्ञानों से सम्बन्ध:-उपरोक्त प्राकृतिक विज्ञानों के तरह ही भूगोल का सामाजिक विज्ञनों में भी गहरा सम्बन्ध का अध्ययन देखने को मिलता है।भोगोल के विना इन विषयों की कल्पना करना बेईमानी होगी इन्हें नजरअंदाज नहीं किया जा सकता भूगोल का प्रमुख सामाजिक विज्ञनों से सम्बन्ध निम्न प्रकार से हैं-

(B) - Geography's relation to social sciences: - Like the above natural sciences, the study of geography is also seen in the social sciences. It would be dishonest to imagine these subjects without geography. They cannot be ignored. The relations of major social sciences are as follows-
(1)- भूगोल का समाजशास्त्र से सम्बन्ध:- सामाजिक मनुष्य के सामाजिक पहलुओं का अध्ययन करने बाला विज्ञान है।यह भूगोल की भांति प्राकृतिक एवं सांस्कृतिक पर्यावरण व का अध्ययन भी करता है। तथा उनके प्रभावों को मानव जीवन में देखता है।समाजशास्त्र में मनुष्य की प्रथाओं, रीतिरिवाज, भाषा एवमं सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठिभूमि का निर्माण प्राकृतिक परिस्थितियों द्वारा होता है और इन प्राकृतिक परिस्थितियों का अध्ययन भूगोल के माध्यम से पूरा किया जाता है। इस प्रकार भूगोल और समाजशास्त्र एक दूसरे के साथ अटूट रिस्ता बनाये हुए हैं।"भूगोल की परिभाषा व अन्य विषयों से सम्बन्ध "

(2)- भूगोल एवं इतिहास में सम्बन्ध:- भूगोल व इतिहास एक दूसरे की जुड़वाँ बहने हैं।वर्त्तमान भौगोलिक घटनाएं ही अतीत के गर्भ में इतिहास बनकर प्रकट होती है।इतिहास मानव की भूतकालीन घटनाओं का पूर्ण विवरण प्रस्तुत करने बाला शास्त्र है।भूगोल की पृष्टभूमि में जो घटनाएं जन्म लेटिन हेंबे ही आगे चलकर इतिहास को सुदृढ आधार प्रदान करती हैं।राज्य और राजा ,प्रशासन और युद्ध सभी भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों की देन है। मानसून जलवायु के कारण एशिया के अल्प विकशित और भाग्यबाड़ी लोगों को प्रगतिशील यूरोप वासियों के आधिपत्य स्वीकारना पड़ा। इतिहास जिन भौगोलिक घटनाओं का ब्यौरा प्रस्तुत करता है।भूगोल इन घटनाओं की समीक्षा प्रस्तुत करता है।इस प्रकार भूतकालीन इतिहास वर्तमान भूगोल है।

(2)- Relationship between Geography and History:- Geography and History are twin sisters of each other. Present geographical events are manifested as history in the womb of the past. History is a science to present complete details of past events of human beings. Geography In the background of the events which were born in Latin, they later provide a strong basis for history. State and king, administration and war are the product of all geographical conditions. Due to the monsoon climate, the less developed and fortunate people of Asia had to accept the hegemony of the progressive Europeans. History presents the details of the geographical events. Geography presents a review of these events. Thus past history is present geography.
(3)- भूगोल एवम अर्थशास्त्र में सम्बन्ध:-भूगोल एवं अर्थशास्त्र दोनों ही सामाजिक विज्ञान हैं एवमं एक दूसरे से घनिष्ठ सम्बन्ध बनाये हुए हैं।भूगोल मनुष्य के प्राकृतिक और सांस्कृतिक व पर्यावरण का अध्ययन करता है जबकि अर्थशास्त्र मानव के आर्थिक क्रियाओं लेखा-जोखा प्रस्तुत करता है।भूगोल में दोनों ही क्रियाओं प्रतिक्रियाओं का अध्ययन किया जाता है,जैसे उपजाऊ भूमि बाले क्षेत्रों में लोग कृषि करते हैं,जबकि घास के क्षेत्रों में पशुपालन प्रमुख व्यवसाय है। समुद्र तटीय भागों में मत्स्य उधोग तथा वन प्रधान क्षत्रों में लोगों का व्यवसाय लकड़ी काटना है।भूगोल के अध्ययन मात्रा से हमें ज्ञात हो जाता है कि उस क्षत्र में मानव की आजीविका क्या है। इस तरह से भूगोल व अर्थशास्त्र में सम्बन्ध प्रकट होता है।

(3)- Relationship between Geography and Economics:- Both Geography and Economics are social sciences and are closely related to each other. Geography studies the natural and cultural and environment of man while Economics is the account of economic activities of human beings. Presents. In geography, both activities and reactions are studied, as people do agriculture in areas with fertile land, while animal husbandry is the main occupation in grasslands. Fishing industry in the coastal parts and the occupation of the people in forest-oriented areas is to cut wood. From the study of geography, we get to know what is the livelihood of human beings in that area. In this way the relationship between geography and economics is revealed.
