Preface:- Curiosity has been a natural tendency of human beings. The main reason for this is that human beings have more thinking power than other creatures. His thirst for knowledge is never quenched. As much as knowledge increases, his thirst for knowledge also increases. Only literature can quench the thirst of his mind. 2- समाचार पत्र का प्राचीन स्वरूप:- प्राचीन समाज में भी समाचारों का आदान-प्रदान होता होता था। पहले यह कार्य संदेशवाहकों से द्वारा किया जाता था। प्रथम समाचार-पत्र का जन्म इटली में हुआ था।इससे प्रभावित होकर इंग्लैण्ड में भी समाचार पत्रों का प्रकाशन प्रारम्भ हो गया।भारत में इसका जन्म मुगलकाल में ही हुआ। इस काल में 'अखबारात-ई-मुअतले'नामक समाचार पत्र का उल्लेख मुलता है। हिदी में 'उदंत मार्तण्ड' पहला समाचार पत्र प्रकाशित किया गया।

2- Ancient form of newspaper: - News was exchanged even in ancient society. Earlier this work was done by messengers. The first newspaper was born in Italy. Influenced by this, the publication of newspapers started in England also. It was born in India only during the Mughal period. In this period, there is a mention of a newspaper named 'Akhbarat-e-Muatale'. The first newspaper 'Udant Martand' was published in Hindi.
3- समाचार-पत्रों की आवश्यकता और उनके प्रकार:- मानव की जिज्ञासा वृत्ति को शांत करने के लिए समाचार-पत्रों का चलन हुआ। विज्ञान ने आज सम्पूर्ण विश्व को एक परिवार में बदल दिया है। देश-विदेश जी घटनाओं का प्रभाव उस पर पड़ता है। अतः समाचार पत्र ही इन घटनाओं को जानने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाते हैं। आज की परिस्थितियों में समाचार-पत्र को युग की अनिवार्य आवश्यकता कहा जा सकता है।
आधुनिक समाचार पत्र अनेक रूपों में प्रकाशित हो रहे हैं।साहित्यिक, राजनीतिक, धार्मिक, सांस्कृतिक एवं खेलकूद सम्बन्धी विविध प्रकार के समाचार पत्र प्रतिदिन प्रकाशित होते हैं।'समाचार पत्र और उनसे लाभ'

4- समाचार-पत्रों का विकास:- समाचार-पत्र सोलहवीं शताब्दी की देन है। मुद्राड-काल के विकास के साथ-साथ समाचार-पत्रों का प्रयोग और प्रचार बढ़ गया। आज 'हिंदुस्तान', 'नवभारत टाइम्स', 'नवजीवन', 'स्वतंत्र भारत', 'आज', 'जनसत्ता', 'अमर उजाला', 'दैनिकभास्कर', 'दैनिक जागरण', आदि उच्च कोटि के अनेक समाचार-पत्रों का प्रकाशन हिंदी समाचार पत्रों के विकाश की चरम परिणित की सूचना दे रहा है।

4- Development of Newspapers: - Newspaper is the gift of the sixteenth century. With the development of the Mudrad period, the use and publicity of newspapers increased. Today 'Hindustan', 'Navbharat Times', 'Navjeevan', 'Independent India', 'Aaj', 'Jansatta', 'Amar Ujala', 'Dainik Bhaskar', 'Dainik Jagran', etc. The publication is reporting the culmination of the development of Hindi newspapers.
5- भारतीय समाचार पत्रों के भेद:- समाचार की समयावधि जे आधार पर की समाचार पत्रों को विभिन्न नाम दैनिक साप्ताहिक, पाक्षिक, मासिक, त्रैमासिक, आर्द्ववार्षिक, तथा वार्षिक दिए गए हैं। ये समाचार पत्र विषय के अनुसार अनेक उपखंडों में बाँटे जा सकते हैं। जैसे- राजनीतिक, आर्थिक, सामाजिक आदि। किन्तु आजकल एक ही समाचार पत्र में पृथक-पृथक स्तम्भ देकर उपयुक्त सभी सामग्री को एक साथ संकलित करने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है, जिससे समाचार पत्रों की उपयोगिता में और अधिक वृद्धि हो रही है।

6- Utility of Newspapers: - Every person gets that material according to his interest through newspapers. 7- समाचार पत्रों के अनुचित प्रयोग से हानियाँ:- जब प्रकाशक एवं सम्पादक अपने क्षेत्र के प्रचार व प्रसार के लिए दूषित साधन अपनाते हैं,पीत पत्रकारिता पर आधारित भ्रामक एवं राट्र विरोधी खबरें छापते हैं,धार्मिक उन्माद भरते हैं,तो इससे राष्ट्रीय एवं साम्प्रदायिक एकता को आघात पहुंचता है। वस्तुतः समाचार पत्रों का मूल उद्देश्य मानव-कल्याण है किंतु जब हम इस उद्देश्य को भूलकर इनके द्वारा आने उद्देश्य को पूरा करना चाहते हैं,तो उनसे लाभ के स्थान पर हानि ही होती है।

8- समाचार पत्रों का उत्तरदायित्व और भविष्य:-समाचार पत्रों का उत्तरदायित्व है कि मानवता एवं समाज तथा राट्रविरोधी किसी भी समाचार को कभी भी प्रकाशित ना करें। कभी ऐसे समाचार प्रकाशित ना करें जिससे जनता भ्रमित हो और उसका नैतिक और चारित्रिक पतन हो। यदि समाचार पत्र अपने उत्तरदायित्व का ईमानदारी के साथ निर्वाह करें तो निश्चित ही इसका भविष्य उज्ज्वल हो जाएगा।

8- Responsibility and Future of Newspapers:- It is the responsibility of the newspapers to never publish any news which is anti-humanity and society and anti-national. Never publish such news which confuses the public and causes moral and moral degradation. 9- उपसंहार:- हमारे देश में समाचार-पत्रों को महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभानी है। हमारा देश अभी विकाश के बाल्याकाल से ही गुजर रहा है,अतः हमारे समाचार-पत्रों में जनहित की सामग्री का होना अति आवश्यक है। स्वस्थ समाचार-पत्र सरकार की नीतियों को सही रूप में जनता के सामने रखेंगे तो इसमें संदेह नहीं कि देश का उत्थान सम्भव हो सकेगा। आज विश्व के 70% व भारत के 40% घरों में पहुच रहा है।

Our country is going through the childhood period of development, so it is very important to have material of public interest in our newspapers. If healthy newspapers keep the policies of the government in front of the public, then there is no doubt that the upliftment of the country will be possible.
