19वी शदी के दौरान राष्ट्रवाद एक शक्ति के रूप में उभर कर सामने आया,जिसने यूरोप के वंश साम्राज्यों के स्थान पर देश और राज्य के उदय का नेतृत्व किया। फ्रांसीसी क्रांति ने आधुनिक राष्ट्रवाद का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया ।
फ्रांसीसी क्रान्ति ने राजशाही आदेश पर सबाल उठाये और एक लोकप्रिय राष्ट्रवाद को प्रोत्साहित किया। एक संयुक्त समुदाय के रूप में राष्ट्र पर बल देने के लिए फ्रांसीसी क्रांति ने पितृभूमि, नागरिक और फ्रांसीसी लोगों के बीच एक फ्रांसीसी ध्वज का विचार दिया। इनमें सभी नागरिकों के लिए एक समान कानून के साथ एक केंद्रीयकृत प्रशासनिक प्रणाली की शुरुआत की। क्षत्रीय भाषा की जगह देश की एक सामान्य भाषा के रूप में स्वीकार किया गया।यूरोप में राष्ट्रवाद के उदय के कारण।
जर्मनी, इटली, स्विट्जरलैंड 16वी शताब्दी के मध्य राजशाहियों, डचियों और कैंटनों में विभाजित थे।जिनके शासकों ने स्वायत प्रदेश का निर्माण किया था। कुछ महत्वपूर्ण कारकों ने राष्ट्रवाद को जन्म दिया, जो इस प्रकार से हैं-

Nationalism emerged as a force during the 19th century, leading to the rise of countries and states from the dynastic empires of Europe. The French Revolution paved the way for modern nationalism.
The French Revolution upheld the monarchical mandate and encouraged a popular nationalism. To emphasize the nation as a united community, the French Revolution gave the idea of a French flag between the Fatherland, the Citizen and the French people. It introduced a centralized administrative system with uniform laws for all citizens. In place of Kshatriya language, it was accepted as a common language of the country.
Germany, Italy, Switzerland were divided into monarchies, duchies and cantons in the middle of the 16th century, whose rulers formed autonomous territories. Some important factors gave rise to nationalism, which are as follows-
1 - नए मध्यम वर्ग का उदय।
2 - उदारवादी विचारधारा का विचार।
3 - रूढ़िवाद की नई भावना और वियना की सन्धि
4 - क्रन्तिकारियों का उदय।

उदारवादियों द्वारा संपादित1848 ई. की क्रांति तब हुई जब कई यूरोपीय देशों वेरोजगारी,भुखमरी तथा गरीबी का बोलबाला हुआ करता था। इस क्रांति को लाने में मध्यम वर्ग का अधिक योगदान था। सभी देशों में अनेक परिवर्तन देखने को मिले उदारवादियों ने 1848 की क्रांति का अर्थ- राजतन्त्र का अंत और गणतंत्र की स्थापना। उदारवादियों द्वारा उस काल खण्ड में संपादित प्रमुख राजनैतिक सामाजिक एवं आर्थिक परिवर्तनों का विवरण इस प्रकार से है-

The middle class contributed more in bringing about this revolution. Many changes were seen in all the countries, the liberals interpreted the revolution of 1848 - the end of the monarchy and the establishment of the republic. राजनैतिक क्षेत्र में परिवर्तन:-
1 - उदारवादियों ने ऐसी राज्यों के निर्माता की मांग और जोर दिया जो संबिधान, प्रेस की स्वतंत्रता और संगठन बनाने जैसे संसदीय सद्धन्तो पर आधारित हों।
2- महिलाओ को राजनैतिक मताधिकार की मां की जाने लगी।
3 - राजतंत्र का अंत करके गणतंत्र की स्थापना की गई।
4 - सार्वजनिक मताधिकार के आधार पर निर्मित जन प्रतिनिधि सभाओं के निर्माण के प्रयास आरंभ हुए।
5 - जर्मनी,इटली पोलैंड, हंगेरियन साम्राज्यों में उदारवादी मध्यम वर्गों के स्त्री-पुरुषों ने संविधानवाद की माँग को राष्ट्रीय एकीकरण की माँग के साथ जोड़ा।यूरोप में राष्ट्रवाद के उदय के कारण।

Changes in the Political Field:-
1 - The liberals demanded and emphasized the creation of such states which are based on parliamentary principles such as constitution, freedom of the press and organization.
2- Women began to be considered the mother of political suffrage.
3 - The republic was established by ending the monarchy.
4 - Efforts started for the creation of public representative assemblies built on the basis of public suffrage.
In Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungarian empires, men and women of the liberal middle classes combined the demand for constitutionalism with the demand for national integration.
सामाजिक क्षेत्र में परिवर्तन:-
1 - कुलीन वर्ग की अपेक्षा मध्यम वर्ग के सभी क्षत्रों में महिलाओं की भागीदारी बड़ी जिससे कुलीन वर्ग मि श्रेष्ठता कम हुई।
2 - महिलाओ को पुरुषों के समान दर्जा दिया जाने लगा और सभी क्षेत्रों में भागीदारी को महत्व व सम्मान की दृष्टि से देखा जाने लगा।

Changes in the Social Sector:-
1 - In comparison to the elite class, the participation of women in all the sectors of the middle class was large, which reduced the superiority in the elite class."The Causes of the Rise of Nationalism in Europe."
2 - Women were given equal status with men and participation in all fields was seen with importance and respect.
आर्थिक क्षेत्र में परिवर्तन:-
1 . बाजारों की मुक्ति, पूंजी के स्वतंत्र आदान प्रदान की माँग ने जोर पकड़ा ताकि व्यापारिक उन्नत के मार्ग खुलें।
2 - मजदूरों और कारीगरों नर भी अपनी मांगों के लिए प्रदर्शन व आंदोलन का मार्ग अपनाया।
3 - भू- दासता और बंधुआ मजदूरी का अंत किया गया।"यूरोप में राष्ट्रवाद के उदय के कारण।"

Changes in the Economic Sector:-
1 . The demand for the liberation of markets, the free exchange of capital gained momentum so that the avenues of commercial advancement would open up.
2 - The workers and artisans also adopted the path of demonstration and agitation for their demands.
3 - Land slavery and bonded labor were abolished.
जर्मनी का एकीकरण
जर्मनी भी इटली की भांति1 19बी शताब्दी के आरम्भ में एक भौगोलिक अभिव्यक्ति मात्रा था। जर्मनी में अनेक राज्य थे जिन पर ऑस्ट्रिया का प्रभुत्व था। ये राज्य ऑस्ट्रिया के विरुद्ध नहीं जाना चाहते थे।फिर भी जर्मनी के राज्य फ्रांसीसी क्रांति के राष्ट्रवादी सिद्धांत से प्रभावित थे और1 1815 से 1879 ई. तक जर्मन का इतिहास इसे सिद्दत का इतिहास है।

Germany, like Italy, was a geographical expression quantity at the beginning of the 19th century. There were many states in Germany which were dominated by Austria. These states did not want to go against Austria. Nevertheless, the states of Germany were influenced by the nationalist theory of the French Revolution and from 1815 to 1879, the history of Germany is a history of it."The Causes of the Rise of Nationalism in Europe."
1815 ई में वियना कांग्रेस में प्रतिक्रिवादियों का बोलबाला हुआ करता था। जर्मनी को 38 राज्यों में विभाजित किया गया और एक संघ बनाया गया,जिसका अध्यक्ष ऑस्ट्रिया का सम्राट हुआ। लेकिन जर्मनी देशभक्ति इससे सन्तुष्ट नहीं थे और उन्होंने कई तरह की समितियों का गठन किया इस तरह राष्ट्रीय एकता को बनाये रखा।
In 1815, the Congress of Vienna was dominated by counterintelligence. Germany was divided into 38 states and a federation was formed, headed by the Emperor of Austria. But the German patriotism was not satisfied with this and they formed many types of committees, thus maintaining national unity.
1830 ई की क्रान्ति से जर्मनी राज्यों में भी विद्रोह हो गया। कि शासकों को उदारवादी संविधान लागू करने पड़े। लेकिन कुछ समय पश्चात इस संविधान को नष्ट करना पड़ा।

The revolution of 1830 also led to revolt in the German states. That the rulers had to implement a liberal constitution. But after some time this constitution had to be destroyed.
1848 ई. की क्रांति और मेटरनिख के पतन के बाद जर्मन राज्यों को प्रोत्साहित किया और वहाँ नाइ जागृति उत्पन्न हुई। कई जर्मन राजाओं को विवश होकर जनता को संविधान प्रदान करना पड़। इसी बीच सार्वभौमिक मताधिकार के आधार पर जर्मन ओर संयुक्त जर्मन राज्यों में 5568 परिनिधि निर्वाचित होकर आए और एक संविधान का निर्माण किया। संयुक्त जर्मनी का राजा प्रजा को बनाया गया। प्रजा का राजा जनता से राजमुकुट नहीं पाना चाहता था,अतः उसने इस संविधान की स्वीकार नहीं किया।इसी बीच ऑस्ट्रिया की सेना क्रांतिकारियों को कुचलने लगी।प्रजा की अपनी सेना द्वारा कुचलने लगी औऱ1848 की क्रान्ति जर्मनी में असफल हो गई।

After the revolution of 1848 AD and the fall of Metternich, German states were encouraged and there was a new awakening. Many German kings were forced to provide the constitution to the people. Meanwhile, on the basis of universal suffrage, in the German and United German states, 5568 suffragettes got elected and made a constitution. The king of united Germany was made the subjects. The king of the subjects did not want to get the crown from the people, so he did not accept this constitution. Meanwhile, the Austrian army started crushing the revolutionaries.
